Salary calculator – how much do you keep from a gig?
Enter the invoice amount and the calculator shows how much of it reaches your account. It covers VAT, the Keikkalasku service fee, the health insurance contribution (sairausvakuutusmaksu) and withholding tax – and compares the result with other invoicing services.

How is your pay calculated?
The calculator follows the same chain as a real invoice: the customer pays the invoice, VAT and the Keikkalasku service fee are deducted, then the health insurance contribution if you have YEL (the self-employed pension insurance), and finally withholding tax according to your tax card. Whatever is left is paid to your account.
- Service fee: €5 for invoices up to €100 and €10 for larger ones – no percentage of the invoice amount.
- Expense reimbursements: tax-free mileage allowances and per diems are paid to your account as they are, with no withholding tax.
- VAT: choose whether VAT is added on top of the amount or already included in it.
With a percentage-based invoicing service, the fee grows with the invoice. Open the calculator’s comparison to see what the same invoice costs with other services.
Want to calculate the other way round – what to invoice so that a certain amount reaches your account? Try the hourly rate calculator. You’ll find all the calculators under tools.
The calculation is an indicative estimate. It uses Keikkalasku’s service fees and the 2026 health insurance contribution. Your final tax is determined in your tax assessment.
